Obama and Holande allies against Assad

Obama wants a military intervention against Syria and requests permission to Congress, but first asked for support from Paris.

The President of the United States telephoned French counterpart Francois Hollande, before announcing the decision to ask for the approval of the US Congress to act militarily against Assad.

The two leaders are "determined to act", although a final decision is dependent on the North American aprlamentares.

Obama seeks the formation of an international coalition against the regime of Bashar al-Assad and will engage on the sidelines of the G20 Summit on Thursday and Friday, in St. Petersburg in Russia.
