ONCE wins Prince of Asturias Award

The announcement was made this Wednesday from Oviedo, capital of Asturias, the President of the jury, Javier Fernandez Fernandez.

"The National Organisation of Spanish Blind (ONCE), performs an extraordinary job for more than three quarters of a century. Increased the dignity and quality of life, promoting social integration of millions of people with disabilities in Spain, serving as example for many international initiatives ", he concludes.

The ONCE is a non-governmental organization of social solidarity and nonprofit, and aims to improve the quality of life of the blind and visually impaired people in Spain.
