Radioactive water leak at Fukushima

Six Japanese nuclear power plant workers were exposed to strong radiation on Wednesday.

According to the company Tepco will have one of the workers turned off by mistake a tube of water treatment system for contaminated water.

The Director General of the NPP, Masayuki Ono explains: "Six people had their bodies irradiated and it is true that big mistakes like this continue to occur again and again. Therefore, it is essential that we do something to stop this chain of sad incidents ".

The incident resulted in the spill of tons of radioactive water used for cooling the reactors for at least 50 minutes, but those responsible ensure that contaminated liquid remains on the premises of the plant.

Health conditions of six workers were not disclosed.
