Bill de Blasio is the new mayor of New York

A clear desire for change. De Blasio, an Italian-American, married to an African-American, literally crushed his opponent, Joe Lhota.

With 8.3 million inhabitants, New York has not elected a democratic mayor since 1989.

Regional elections also took place in other cities and American States.

In New Jersey was elected Governor. Republican Chris Christie has not had any difficulty in achieving the second term, with about 60% of the vote.

A success in democratic terrain that the Party expects the accounting at the national level. Christie seduced women, Hispanics and blacks and positions itself as an unavoidable name for the Republican primary election of 2016.

In Virginia, the Governor's election was up to a tough battle between the Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Ken Cuccinelli,. With a slight edge, it was McAuliffe who got the better of me.
