Libya: Fighting leaves a trail of blood in Benghazi

What is the country's second city, woke up to the sound of gunfire and explosions. The clashes began after a pursuit of a suspect.

The Group Ansar al-Sharia is regarded as responsible for the attack on the u.s. Consulate in Benghazi, which killed the Ambassador of the United States and three other people in the past year.

The chaos in Libya has worried neighboring countries and Western nations who supported the revolt against the regime of Moammar Kadaffi two years ago.

The Libyan armed forces are still in training and will not be at the height of the armed groups, many of them consisting of former guerrillas.
