Anti-terrorism operations in several Turkish cities

Six Turkish cities were targets of these operations and several people allegedly linked to Al-Qaeda.

An initiative that NGOs have denounced as a smear campaign linked to the corruption scandal plaguing the Government.

"According to Israel, during the episode of the Marmara, the HHI was the target of false information, dirty rumors about the activities and organization expenses that were linked to al-Qaeda" a complaint of leaders of NGOS.

Earlier this year the Turkish police intercepted them near the border with Syria, in the region of Kilis province, a truck in which they found the weapons. The driver of the vehicle told police he was carrying humanitarian aid to Syria, on behalf of the HHI. This NGO was responsible for the operation of the Gaza aid flotilla, which was captured by Israel in 2010 having created a serious diplomatic incident between Tel Aviv and Ankara.
