Navalny denounces "Olympic corruption" in Sochi

The data published on the internet (sochi.fbk.info/en) indicate that the winter games have already cost close to 50 billion dollars (about 36.5 billion), five times more than Vancouver four years ago.

According to Putin, the arrangements cost about 6.5 billion dollars.

Alexei Navalny says that "from the beginning, the Sochi project has been designed not only to carry out the Olympic Games but also to enrich a small number of bosom buddies of Putin".

The man who led the protests against the master of the Kremlin (2011-2012) estimates that corruption represents more than 30% of the costs, but does not provide solid evidence of how the money has been diverted.

On the streets, the population says that "it is very possible" that there has been corruption because in Russia "is like this: everyone wants to receive its share in all" what is done.

Navalny presents several examples of conflicts of interest and argues that Russia spent double what was needed and that is very bad in the photo while producing the most expensive Olympics in history.
