Thailand expects new escalation of political crisis

The political crisis that has lasted for two months should intensify this Monday, in the face of the promise of the opposition to paralyse the capital, blocking several strategic points of the city, to try to force the Government to resign.

General Prayuth Chan-Ocha, army chief says ' concerned about security, because there will be a lot of people and the violence is increasing "and calls for" both sides not to engage in confrontation, "Noting that" are all Thais. You may think differently, but not to kill, not to resort to violence ".

The authorities mobilized 20 thousand policemen and soldiers and say they are willing to declare a "State of emergency".

Yesterday, several thousands of Thais demonstrated in Bangkok, contrary to the two months of protests by the opposition, to ask for the respect of the early elections proposed by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to February 2.
