Humanitarian aid in trouble in Syria

Humanitarian aid in Syria is facing various problems to remove the hundreds of civilians in the city of Homs before finishing, this Wednesday, the ceasefire deadline.

The calls to extend the deadline of the truce were released for both sides of the fence at the same time that the operation to bring to a successful conclusion the removal of old people and children had to be suspended. Sporadic shootings registered in the region put at risk the lives of civilians.

More than 1100 of about 2500 people referred to have already left the so-called old town, in the heart of Homs, under the truce started on Friday. Most were in the clear State of weakness.

But the concern is also growing about the safety of dozens of men and children detained by the authorities for questioning after they leave Hims.

The Security Council of the United Nations (UN) failed, however, the agreement to a solution of resource to bring humanitarian aid to the most critical areas of Syria. The Russia refuses to cooperate, by claiming that it's a partial aid.

In Geneva, finally, peace talks to Syria remain at an impasse in this second round of meetings. The UN mediator, Lakhdar Brahimi, lamented the fact that there are no great progress among the representatives of the Government of Bashar Al-Assad and of opposition to the regime.
