Syria: Resuming humanitarian aid to Homs

The deadline of the ceasefire ends this Wednesday and calls for extending the term of the truce were launched on both sides of the barricade.

More than 1100 of about 2500 people referred to have already left the Homs Centre under the truce started on Friday.

But the concern grows as hundreds of men taken from the old city were arrested by Government forces for questioning.

An estimated 3,000 civilians were surrounded more than 600 days in the historic centre of Homs, facing daily bombardments and shortage of food and medicines.

The negotiations in Geneva will continue until Friday and Lakhdar Brahimi, will travel next week to New York to be heard by the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council.

The conflict in Syria has already made 136 thousand dead.
