Spain remembers victims of the March 11 bombings

Royalty, political leaders, victims, victims ' relatives and civil protection forces participated in a religious ceremony in Almudena Cathedral to remember the 191 people who died and the 1800 injured.

Ceremonies were also held in the places where the 10 bombs exploded simultaneously on four suburban trains in the Spanish capital.

Three weeks after the attacks, seven suspected direct authors committed suicide with a bomb.

In 2007, 21 people were sentenced with punishments that came to 43 thousand years in prison.

The attack originated from Islamic and was inspired by the al-Qaida terrorist network.
