may day: Asia requires better working conditions

In Bangladesh, yet no one has forgotten the tragedy which killed more than 1000 workers of the textile sector. But, more than a year after the collapse of the building Rana Plaza, yet little has changed and no one was punished.

So the unions wanted to "require on this may day, legal measures to be taken against the owner of the Rana Plaza", said a representative of the workers, who also wants to see "guaranteed compensation for the families of workers whose bodies are missing and that the compensation for those injured takes into account future gains that were deprived".

In Malaysia, marched against the low wages and a new rate. The Government wants to introduce in April next year, a levy on goods and services, the GST (Goods and Services Tax).

In Hong Kong, the level of requirement is another: 8:0, 8 for sleep and other personal time 8:0 pm, say the workers, who also want the Government to give more work to local and less to foreigners.
