Ukraine: Kiev citizens and Government reject referendums East

Away from the turbulence of the East of the country, in the capital of Ukraine the referendums in the Donbass were accompanied with sadness. Most of the inhabitants of Kiev rejects the votes held in the regions separatist of Donetsk and Luhansk.

The interim Government of Ukraine, through the responsible for the Presidential Office, reiterated how illegitimate the referendums. "It had nothing to do with legal procedures. This were not referendums. It was a miserable attempt by terrorists, bandits, murderers, to use the name of the people of Donetsk and Luhansk as cover for its actions, "said Serhiy Pashynksyi.

Stressing that "the Government of Ukraine does not recognize the referendum which took place in the East of the country", our correspondent in Kiev tells us that the Executive in front of Ukrainian Parliament "ensures that vote will not have any legal consequences on the integrity of the territory of Ukraine". "The main task of the Government will now establish a bridge of dialogue with the East of the country and trying to get legitimate regional parties start negotiating," concretizes Angelina Karyakina.
