At least 21 dead and 17 wounded in the bombing in the commercial center of the capital city of Nigeria

The outbreak occurred around 4:0 pm, local time, moment of enormous affluence and caused a big fire. Local authorities confirmed to have recovery of 21 dead bodies.

Is not yet clear what caused the explosion, but Abuja has been the target of several deadly attacks carried out by the armed Islamic Group Boko Haram over the past two months.

On Monday, an explosion in a University campus, in the heart of the Nigerian city of Kano caused eight dead.

The authorities are facing almost daily attacks by armed insurgents in Northern Nigeria, where the militant group Boko Haram is fighting for an Islamic State.
