Iraq to fire and sword

Kirkuk, about 200 miles north of Baghdad, oil-rich city, is under the control of Peshmerga troops, after the escape of effective Iraqi army, following an attack by the rebels.

In this town is dead, at least a dozen people, four dozens have been injured, in the explosion of two car bombs near a Shiite mosque. Mosque which was the shelter of refugees fleeing the violence in Tal Afar.

Iraqi Government forces claim to have under control Udhaim, North of Baghdad, but the extremists loyal to the Islamic State, have gained control of Iraq's largest dam.

France has asked for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council and says he is "worried about the latest advances of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in the North" of the country.
