Scotland: independence in advantage

Only 11 days of the referendum on secession in this region of the United Kingdom, a survey of the Institute YouGov for the Sunday Times newspaper, carried out in the final stretch of the campaign, says 51% for the supporters of the "Yes".

"The poll shows that, in Scotland, an increasing number of people comes to the conclusion that independence is the best way to protect our national health service, to grow the economy, create jobs and ensure that never have conservative governments for which never voted, but rather those who voted"; said Nicola Sturgeon, leader of the SNP, Scottish National Party.

Opponents of independence of Scotland picked up 49 percent of voting intentions.

"I want a Scottish Parliament, stronger powers and to such a change in that direction. But I also want to share our resources with the rest of the United Kingdom ", stressed the former Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Between early August and early September, the distance between the two camps had already been reduced from 22% to only six percentage points.

The independence referendum is scheduled for September 18.
