Comet Siding Spring is "brushed" by Mars

The core of the Siding Spring-also known as C/2013 A1 â€" has about 1.6 kilometers in diameter and travels through space at a speed of 56 miles per second.

The Comet was named Australian Observatory where the astronomer Robert McNaught the sensed, in January last year. Now that the pending NASA robots Opportunity and Curiosity, send the data collected during the passage of the comet. American space agencies, European and Indian altered the orbit of its probes, in order to avoid the risk of damage caused by the trajectory and the possible collision with rocky debris.
