Sweden seeks Russian submarine in the Baltic Sea

The alert was given after intercetada an encrypted message that pointed to the presence of a Russian submarine in Swedish waters.

Warships and helicopters were combing an area of the Baltic Sea, along about 50 miles, between Stockholm and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, but without success.

The population believes, however, that it is better to prevent. "We have to react when faced with such situations" referred to a Swede. "I'm glad to know we can count on the armed forces when you need" adds a woman.

The Russia already came out denying any involvement in irregular situations, much less in accidents involving ships or submarines in the country.

The Sweden promises to confirm the veracity of the information.
