Fruit growers demonstrate in Warsaw to ask for compensation to Russian embargo

A protester explains that "this year is very difficult. The production is high and quality, but we don't know where we can sell it. For the drain, we will be forced to practise very low prices, which only cover half the cost of production ".

According to the President of the Union of Owners of Orchards, no other country has the capacity to "absorb the million tons of Polish apples", one third of the annual production, which are usually exported to Russia.

Poland called on the European Union compensation in the range of 26 million euros.
