Belgium says goodbye to Fabiola

A route about a mile followed closely by Belgian Kings Philip and Matilda.

About 1300 people attended the memorial service. Among them are several representatives of European royalty.

The remains of Fabiola will be later transferred to the crypt of the Laeken Palace.

The widow of King Baldwin â€" the fifth ruler of the Belgians-passed away last Friday at the age of 86 years, on the outskirts of Brussels.

She was seen in public for the last time last year during a mass in honor of the husband.

Fabiola's life was marked by stealth after the disappearance of Baldwin in 1993.

The Belgium complies with a week of national mourning which ends this Saturday.
