Turkish Prime Minister calls on Greece to hydrocarbon exploration agreement

On two-day visit to Athens, Ahmet Davutoglu was received by Antonis Samaras counterpart.

"Our goal is the development of relations between Greece and Turkey. To achieve this goal our Governments promised to continue cooperation at a good pace, "said Samaras.

"We don't want any tension in the Aegean Sea or the Eastern Mediterranean. We can solve our problems through dialogue. Whatever the differences or approaches, we must continue the dialogue, "said the head of the Turkish Government.

Davutoglu also met with Greek President Karolos Paoulias.

The two-day visit is part of an annual event designed to bring the two Nations.

The Euronews correspondent Stamatis Giannisis States that "Although not expected spectacular diplomatic results of these meetings, the two sides have good opportunities to improve the relationship in less difficult policy areas such as trade, tourism, culture and sport".
