Udo Jürgens Passed Away

The 80 year-old singer collapsed during a walk having been transported to the Münsterlingen hospital, where he died after a resuscitation attempt.

Installed in Switzerland since 1977, Udo Jürgens is the author of more than 900 songs, including "Merci chérie" which won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1966.

Among the highlights of his career were in memory the concerts at the Olympia in Paris, at the estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro and at the Palladium in Hollywood.
