Air Asia: the end of the mystery next Wednesday?

According to a source quoted by Agence France Presse, the records of the black boxes show that an alarm was triggered inside the cockpit, minutes before the device went down in the Java Sea.

In the area of the incident, rescue teams try to now recover the fuselage of the plane:

"We have 70 balloons ready to hoist the remains of the device to the surface at various points of search. I hope that these means will allow to recover as much of the wreckage of the plane, "said Bambang Suryadi Supriyadi responsible operations.

So far the Indonesian authorities only managed to recover the bodies of 53 of 162 passengers on board.

The Indonesian Transport Minister had suggested yesterday that the plane would have performed an abrupt rise before crashing which could attest to the thesis of a failure in the speed probes caused by bad weather.

The Indonesia stated that the final report on the causes of the incident is not expected to be published before the end of the year.
