Israeli and Palestinian Presidents on the March from Paris

Hundreds of thousands of people, including more than half a hundred heads of State and Government will parade this Sunday in Paris, in solidarity with the victims of the attacks of recent days in France.

The March, which will begin at local 3:0 pm, on praça da República, led the Government to mobilise more than 3 thousand military and police, including undercover agents, snipers and teams cinoténicas to ensure the safety of the event.

About 150 civilians were handpicked to create a safety barrier between international leaders and the rest of the March that will feature three different routes between Republic square and the Plaza de la Nation in Paris.

A highly symbolic parade which should meet Palestinian and Israeli leaders, alongside French President Francois Hollande. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Ministers, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Polish have also confirmed the participation, as well as several leaders of Arab countries.

Only absence within the French political parties, the Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Front (FN) who claims not to have been invited to the event. Le Pen should participate in a parallel demonstration held in Beaucaire, a city in the South of France controlled by the FN.
