Earthquake causes avalanche on Everest

The quake triggered an avalanche over the camps on the slopes of the mountain. Climbers and guides were rescued by helicopters, along the way were at least 18 dead and 60 wounded. This eyewitness account:

Six helicopters were able to reach the base camp after weather conditions have improved overnight.

Estimates released by the UNITED NATIONS indicate that the earthquake affected about 6.6 million people in 30 districts of the country.
