Pakistan mourns the murder of 45 Shia Ismailis in Karachi

Pakistan mourns this Thursday, day are funerals of some of the Shia Ismaili 45 dead the day before, in the attack on a bus in Karachi.

The self-proclaimed Islamic State group claimed the attack on the bus shooting. It was the first attack in Pakistan claimed by ISIL, English acronym for which is also known the jihadist group. "This was a very serious incident. Innocent people were killed. Muslims should not lead these terrorist acts. In non-Muslim countries nobody can hurt us, but unfortunately in our country this kind of things happen. That God have mercy on us. The Government has to handle it, "said Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

"People are scared. The terrorists are walking around freely. Do what they want, and our authorities are unable to capture them, "accuses Mohammad Shahid, in Karachi.

Pakistan has been experiencing a worsening sectarian violence in the country. In particular against the Shiites, who represent 20 percent of the approximately 200 million people â€" the vast majority is Islamic.

Wednesday's attack was carried out by six men and was also claimed by Jundullah group, a cell loyal to ISIL.
