Greece: tension in the governing party

Political tension in Greece, after the approval by Parliament of the second package of reforms necessary for the progress of negotiations with international lenders on the financial help of 86 billion euros to Greece. This is the third program of aid to the country since 2010. Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras once again had to rely on opposition votes to ensure the passage of the measures.

"I have a strong and honest relationship of camaraderie with the Prime Minister, both share the willingness, desire and commitment to safeguard what is right for the Greek people."

The former Minister of finance, Yanis Varoufakis, that in the vote of the day July 15 failed the first package, this time, supported the measures.

Tsipras said the agreement will save Greece from bankruptcy and preserve its position in the euro zone but is not expected to save politically the current Government.
