Ankara asks Syrian refugees to end the protest on the border with Greece

More than 2,000 people are camped along the Turkish border location of Edirne, to demand the right to move to the Greek territory toward Europe.

The Turkish Prime Minister was Saturday in Istanbul, a delegation of representatives of the refugees, hoping to put an end to the situation, which has lasted since last Tuesday.

Ahmet Davutoglu promised, at the end of the meeting, write a personal letter to the heads of Government [European countries] to explain the problems and make an international appeal in favor of the Syrian refugees ".

Hundreds of people are camped in a bus station in Istanbul, hoping to be able to travel to Edirne.

The Turkey currently hosts about 2 million Syrians who fled the war in their country of origin; about of 260,000 live in refugee camps.
