France: deadly Collision reap life 43 people

The France woke up Friday in tragedy. At least 43 people, mostly pensioners in leisure travel, died after the bus in which followed have collided head-on with a truck carrying wood.

According to witnesses, the accident happened on a dangerous curve of low visibility in Puisseguin in southwestern France, a few kilometres from Bordeaux.

The two vehicles came into flames shortly after impact. The authorities claim that it was the fire that caused most of the fatalities.

The bus driver survived and managed to open the doors, which allowed eight people escape. However, at least four were injured, two are in serious condition.

The French President, François Hollande, reacted immediately to convey a message of solidarity to the families, from Athens, where in a State visit. Already at the site of the tragedy, the Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, said "be a terrible shock to the region and for the whole of France. Today, all of France and the French are grieving ".

The authorities are trying to identify all the victims, although the task is complicated due to Burns.
