Refugees: Austria will introduce "technical barriers" on the border

The Austria announced its intention to proceed with "technical barriers" on the border with Slovenia to strengthen control of the thousands of refugees who come daily in the country.

The information was put forward by Austrian Minister of the Interior, which, however, did not offer a timetable or details about the measures that will be introduced.

After a visit to a border crossing with Slovenia, Johanna Mikl-Leitner stated only that "it's not about building a barrier since Hungary Slovenia and Austria. It is utopian to build a wall of 700 kilometres. But we must prepare, on both sides of the border, structural measures to ensure a controlled access ".

The German region of Bavaria, on the border with Austria, has accelerated the pace of deportations and accused Vienna of forward thousands of refugees to its territory without prior notice. The head of the Bavarian Government gave the central executive in Berlin, until Sunday to stem the flow of immigrants.
