Yazidi Kurds Iraqis are afraid to go back to Sinjar

A victory could give the Kurds in Sinjar, Government forces and Shiite militias momentum in efforts to defeat the jhadistas of the Islamic State, which control large areas of Iraq and Syria and have branches in Libya and Egypt.

"They (the Islamic State militants) killed all our children and men. Kidnapped women. We are afraid to go back. There is no peace. Demolished our houses. We have nothing left there. At the moment we don't want to go back ".
