Cyprus: pre-trial detention to hijacker of EgyptAir

Identified as Seif Eldin Mustafa, the hijacker gave himself up to the authorities, after freeing all passengers and crew of flight MS181, who made the connection between Alexandria and Cairo.

The hijacker, who wanted to see his ex-wife, who lives in Cyprus, Cypriot authorities described as "a person psychologically unstable". The explosive belt carrying was fake and the lead terrorist was quickly removed.
