Right-hand man of Suu Kyi will be the President of Burma

In the former Burma, as expected, the Parliament confirmed the two names submitted by the party of Aung San Suu Kyi as presidential candidates. The third competitor for leadership of the State is presented by the military.

The current Constitution of the Republic of Union of Myanmar, adopted by the defunct military Junta, prevents Suu Kyi from assuming the Presidency of the country because he has children with foreign nationality, in the British case.

So, the Nobel Peace Prize will rule by proxy and indicated to President a childhood friend, who is his right-hand man.

The choice was Htin Kyaw, a 69-year-old economist trained in Oxford and former driver of Su u Kyi.

In the upper House, the National League for democracy (NLD), the party of Suu Kyi, also confirmed the choice of its candidate, a minority representative, who will be Vice President as the candidate of the military.

As the National League for democracy has a large majority, the friend of Nobel Prize has guaranteed the Presidency.
