Migrants: 5600 people rescued off the coast of Libya in 48 hours

The Italian Navy rescued 562 migrants on Board of a fishing boat which sank off the coast of Libya, when followed towards the European coasts. The vessel was identified on Wednesday morning by an Italian patrulhador and eventually become, due to the high number of people on board. The ship Bettica, assisted by another frigate of the Italian Navy, managed to rescue most of the occupants, although they have been retrieved at least five lifeless bodies.

According to the figures presented by the Italian coast guard, about 5600 people were rescued off the coast of Libya, in the last 48 hours.

At the same time, the Greek police could follow-up, by the second day, the evacuation of the refugee camp of Idomeni line, along the border with Macedonia. S ince this Tuesday, 700 members of the Greek security forces travelled in buses more than 2000 people.
