Turkish Parliament approves reform that allows you to process your MEPs justice and sights that affects dozens of pró-curdos

The vote met the support of 376 deputies, more than two-thirds of the Chamber. The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, the justice and Development Party (AKP), in power, spoke in a "historic vote" before the announcement of the result

In practice, to enter into force, the law would penalise 138 deputies under judicial investigation. These include 27 of the AKP, but more significant are the 50 elements affected, out of a total of 59, which integrate the main pró-curda formation, the Democratic Party of the people. The HDP considers the possibility for members to be processed a tactic by the Government to reduce the number of representatives and distort the correlation of forces in Parliament.

Much of the open cases against elements of t he HDP are related to terrorism or links with the guerrillas of the Kurdistan Workers ' Party.

Berlin has already shown concern with the amendment.
