Syrian President visits troops on the ground

The head of State was a few metres from the place where the rebels and discussed the situation on the ground with their numbers.

Al-Assad talked to the military, so relaxed and informal and even had lunch with them, observing Ramadan, saying that this would be the best meal of their lives.

At another table, nothing improvised, the Russian Foreign Minister received the leader of the opposition, Syria Ahmad Jarba. The objective was to discuss the end of hostilities on the ground and humanitarian issues. During the meeting Sergei Lavrov stated that Russia is prepared to help solve the crisis in Syria.

Syrian Government and opposition interrupted the negotiati ons in April after the increase in attacks by the Government, with the support of Moscow, the rebel targets.
