The last farewell to the champion Muhammad Ali

A final farewell to the man, one that was considered the best Boxer of all time, the champion inside and outside the ring.

Thousands of people attended the farewell to Muhammad Ali in a pavilion of the hometown of Louisville, where he was baptized with the name Cassius Clay, before he became a Muslim.

An interfaith ceremony where attended personalities from all walks of life.

The widow, Lonnie Ali, gave words to remember who remained steadfast and fearless to defend what he considered fair.

"He wanted to use his life and death as a teaching moment for the young, for his coun try and for the world. In fact, he wanted to remind the people in distress, that he had seen the face of injustice, who lived in segregation and that during the first years of life, he was not free to be who he wanted to be, "he said.

Olympic champion and triple world champion, Muhammad Ali took to boxing where boxing areas stirred little interest, because of the resilience in the fight by the convictions.

"I think he decided what all young people here, I hope, will one day decide. I think very soon decided to write the story of his own life. God bless you my friend, go in peace, "said the former u.s. President, Bill Clinton.

The legend, known as "the greatest" â€" in the Portuguese Great-fulfilled the last trip, in a proces sion of 30 kilometres in Louisville in which there were cries of elation to one of the world's great figures of the 20th century.

Was buried in a private ceremony at the cemetery of Cave Hill.

Muhammad Ali was 74 years.
