Demonstrations in Egypt are a dead

At least one person died in Egypt, a day in which the Muslim Brotherhood's demonstrations against the military Government swept across the country. The death occurred in the province of Sharqia.

The biggest demonstrations took place in Cairo and in the second largest city of Egypt, Alexandria, where police intervened with tear gas to prevent a confrontation between supporters and opponents of the former President Mohamed Morsi, deposed by a military coup in the summer.

The Muslim Brotherhood called off a planned demonstration to Tahrir square in Cairo, the most emblematic of the revolution that toppled Hosni Mubarak for a little over a year and a half. Last Sunday, clashes between police and protesters did 57 dead, most of them in Cairo, when the Muslim Brotherhood supporters heading to the square.
