Tunisia celebrates new Constitution

After a year of heated debate and political crises, the country cradle of Arab spring reaches a milestone in the historical period of the nation.

The French President was one of the gifts. Francois Hollande said that the Constitution "is a larger text because it is the result of an institutional commitment which you were able to weave together. And, finally, because it can serve as an example to many other countries, "he said.

The ceremony was symbolic, since the basic law had been adopted on 26 January, signed by Tunisian leaders, three years after the revolution that brought down the President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
