Yanukovych, who infuriated much of the population, by refusing the European Union approach to build closer ties with Russia three months ago, made large concessions in an agreement brokered yesterday by European diplomats after three months of violence has killed 80 people.

However this compromise, which has called early elections for the end of the year, was not enough to satisfy the demonstrators who insist on the necessity of removal of the head of State after the massacre of dozens of civilians, mostly shot by police snipers positioned on rooftops.
