Crimea is deciding if you want to be Russian or Ukrainian

In Crimea, as predicted, there will be a referendum on the future of the Republic.

The vote began at local 8:0 and ends at 8:0 pm-6:0 pm in Lisbon, but official results only in one or two days.

The million and a half voters are placed two options: â€" Crimean reunification with Russia within the framework of the Russian Federation, or â€" restoration of Constitution of 1992 and the status of Crimea as part of Ukraine.

Sergei Aksyonov, the self-proclaimed pro-Russian Prime Minister, was one of the first to appear at the polls this morning, in Smiferopol:

"You can see that the vote is free. People come freely to polling stations without any problems. I personally don't feel any pressure. I don't see any pressure. "

Everything indicates that the majority will choose reunification with Russia.

The Tatars and the Sunni Muslims of Turkish origin, representing 12% of the population have promised to boycott the ballot, despite the promises of the new power of Simferopol.

The vote has passed with a strong presence of security forces on the streets.
