Baltimore: night of protest ends without violence

The calm seems to have returned to the city of Baltimore in the United States.

According to police the March of last night went off without major incidents, despite the crowd that came out to the streets to demand justice for Freddie Gray, young African-American man of 25 years who died after being detained by police.

"We will not rest until justice is made. We will not rest until our Police Department advance with a full and transparent investigation against the officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray says the Senator Catherine Pugh.

The demonstrations of last night extended to several u.s. cities. In New York more than 60 people have been detained after they blocked some of the main arteries of the city.
