EU: European leaders looking for common solution to solve migration crisis

"We have to reach an agreement, otherwise the situation in Greece will be very difficult and the humanitarian crisis will increase."

Started in Brussels, the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Union where they will discuss the action plan together with the Turkey, which aims to respond to the crisis.

The 28 are called to cooperate with every means, with Greece in order to send back to Turkey the irregular migrants.

One point seems to be common to all European leaders, it is necessary for Europe to find a common solution.

"We have to reach an agreement, otherwise the situation in Greece will be very difficult and the humanitarian crisis will increase, since the Balkan route was closed. People can't get out of Greece so it's crucial that we get an agreement today and tomorrow ", emphasized the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Before the start of the meeting, the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, said that the return of illegal migrants to Turkey, is a form of "deprive traffickers of customers" and not a punishment for migrants.

The plan has earned several critics inside and outside the European Union.

For the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees, Vincent Cochetel, "collective expulsion of aliens is prohibited under the European Convention on human rights." For this Manager, Europe needs to resettle the refugees en masse.
