The Canadian Prime Minister showed up, this Tuesday, optimistic about a quick ratification of the Treaty.

A controversial agreement which has already led to several manfestações in various European cities. Even in Portugal some people don't believe in the benefits of this agreement, and of others of the genus, for Europeans.

To the European Commission the agreement will, and among other things, facilitate the access of EU export companies to the Canadian market.

Jean-Claude Juncker about the agreement:

_ ' The trade agreement between the EU and Canada is the best and most advanced of our trade agreements and intend to enter into force as soon as possible. Opens up new opportunities for companies in Europe and, at the same time, promotes our high standards for the benefit of our citizens. I had the opportunity to examine the legal arguments and hear the heads of State and Government and the parliaments. There are now to go into action. This is about the credibility of Europe's trade policy.» _
